Your responsibilities will include

  • Own and manage all people-related portals and processes
  • Drive automation of HR functions to streamline operations
  • Maintain and update employee data in a timely and accurate manner across all databases
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee inquiries and requests
  • Create meaningful weekly and monthly people dashboards to track HR metrics

What you will bring to Truck It In

  • Education: BBA or MBA; majoring in HR will be a plus
  • Experience: 0-1 years of experience in HR. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Experience of implementing or using an HR management system will be a plus

The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Java) for our Islamabad office. You will be joining as a Backend Chapter Lead, responsible for leading a talented team of Backend Engineers to develop robust and scalable Spring Boot applications, shape technical direction, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. Join a dynamic environment where your expertise and leadership will make a significant impact.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Lead and manage a team of backend developers, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Architect, design, and develop scalable and high-performance backend solutions using Java 8 or above and Spring Boot frameworks.
  • Utilize MySQL as a relational database for efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful web services for seamless integration with frontend and external systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product owners, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Conduct code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes.
  • Implement and maintain version control using GitLab, including branching, merging, and resolving conflicts.
  • Drive continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices, leveraging tools and pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Containerize applications using Docker.
  • Implement security measures, including JWT (JSON Web Tokens), to ensure secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Develop and execute unit tests using JUnit and integration tests using Mockito to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Monitor application performance and logs using CloudWatch and take necessary actions to optimize and troubleshoot.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps team to leverage AWS services such as ECS (Elastic Container Service), ECR (Elastic Container Registry), RDS (Relational Database Service) and CloudWatch for seamless application deployment and maintenance.

What you will bring to Truck It In

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team of backend developers.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a backend developer with proficiency in Spring Boot and Java 8 or above.
  • Strong knowledge of MySQL for relational database management.
  • Extensive experience in developing and maintaining RESTful web services.
  • Strong understanding of GitLab for version control, including branching, merging, and resolving conflicts.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools for automated build, test, and deployment.
  • Proficiency in containerization using Docker.
  • Strong understanding and practical implementation of security measures, including JWT for authentication and authorization.
  • Hands-on experience with JUnit and Mockito for unit and integration testing.
  • Familiarity with AWS services, particularly ECS, ECR, RDS, CloudWatch and DynamoDB, is a plus.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer – Chapter Lead with expertise in ReactJS to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing complex web applications using ReactJS and other related technologies. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet customer requirements and exceed expectations.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Design and develop scalable and maintainable web applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, ReactJS, SCSS, Material UI, Redux and other related technologies.

  • Maintain and optimize local company networks and servers including firewalls, VPN, directory services, etc.

About the Role

In this role, you will be working independently in a cross-functional team with little supervision. You should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills and hands-on experience in software development and agile methodologies.

  • Ability to program (structured and OO) with one or more high-level languages, such as Python, Java, C/C++, Ruby, and JavaScript.
  • Good knowledge and hands-on in setting up and integrating different monitoring tools like NewRelic, DataDog, Prometheus, etc.
